ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF ‘INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY’  ON 21st SEPTEMBER, 2021

  • NSS unit of the college celebrated District level. ‘International Peace Day’ on 21st September, 2021 in MDKG College Arts campus.
  • To observe the day, different personalities were invited. They were:
    1. Pallav Jha, D.C of Dibrugarh District   
    2. Devid Kardong, Programme Co-ordinator, NSS Cell, Dibrugarh University
    3. K.M. Bhagawati, Principal, DHSK Commerce College, Dibrugarh
  • The Programme was inaugurated by Dr. Nibedita Phukan, Principal of MDKG College. In her speech, she delivered the importance of the day. The invited guests of honour also briefly spoke about the relevance of Peace Day, mentioning some of the issues & challenges in the world perspective, and mentioning some measures to be followed for peace building.
  • Poster making competition, poetry competition and Speech Competition among the NSS unit under Dibrugarh District was also organized.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF  BAN MAHOTSAV WEEK 7th July, 2021

Ban Mahotsav week was observed by the NSS Unit of the college on 7th July, 2021. To observe the day, online Poster competition among the volunteers, Quiz competition and plantation drive at their residence and spreaded the message of need for plantation and healthy environment.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA ON 21ST JUNE, 2021

  • On 21st June, 2021, online Digital Celebration of International Yoga Day was organized by NSS unit of MDKG College. Resource person Smti. J. Agarwal demonstrated different YogaAsanas on the day. She also delivered a brief speech on the importance of Yoga.
  • In this programme NSS Volunteers, Students and Faculties of the College participated in the programme. Moreover, members also joined from the adopted village of the college, Nagakhalia Gaon.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON AWARENESS ON PANDEMIC SITUATION AT THE ADOPTED VILLAGE NAGAKHELIA GAON ON 12TH APRIL, 2021

  • NSS volunteers visited at Nagakhalia Gaon and made them aware about the pendamic situation. They also circulated different guidelines and restriction formulated by Govt of India as well as Assam among the villagers. ACTIVITY REPORT ON CLEANLINESS AND AWARENESS PROGRAMME CONDUCTED AT BOOK FAIR, CHOWKIDINGHEE FIELD ON 12TH MARCH, 2021

  • An Extension activity on cleanliness drive was conducted at the book fair, Chowkidinghee field on 12th March, 2021.
  • The NSS volunteers of the College and the NSS P.O Shri. Utpal Gogoi, took an active participation in the cleanliness drive.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON WORKSHOP ON HOW TO USE WASTE MATERIALS ON 3RD MARCH, 2021

  • A workshop on ‘How to use waste materials’ was organized on 3rd March, 2021 by NSS unit and Health & sanitation Club of MDKG College, Dibrugarh, Assam.
  • Resource person Mr. Mahendra Raj, Teacher of Handicapped Children Training Centre, Vidyakala Mandir Organisation, New Delhi, conducted the workshop on management of waste materials.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS ON FEBRUARY, 2021

  • Road safety Awareness was observed on 6th February, 2021 by the NSS unit of MDKG College.
  • The volunteer’s actively participated and spreaded awareness on how to follow rules and regulations in the road.
  • An awareness skit was also performed by the volunteers regarding how to be cautious in the road. The skit also focused about the important issues on road safety.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON NSS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME ON 6TH FEBRUARY, 2021

  • On 6th February, 2021, NSS Orientation Programme was held for the newly admitted NSS Volunteers.
  • Resource Person: Dr. Trailokya Dehingia, Associate Prof. & NSS P.O of Khowang College was invited to conduct the session.
  • The session covered the aims and objectives of the NSS, the different activities that need to be undertaken by the NSS volunteers during their volunteership were discussed.
