 ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF GANDHI JAYANTI ON 2ND OCTOBER, 2018

On 2nd Oct, 2018, NSS unit of the College observed Gandhi Jayanti within the campus. A discussion on the Contribution of Gandhi towards our Nation was conducted among the Volunteers. NSS P.O Ashwini Machey spoke about the relevance of the day, and the contribution of Gandhiji towards our Nation.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON NATIONAL BLOOD DONATION DAY ON 1ST OCTOBER, 2018

National Blood donation day was organized on 1st 0ct, 2018 collaboratively by NCC, NSS Unit and Students Union of MDKG College.

• Representative of Blood Bank, Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh were invited for the day, who also encouraged and spoke about the relevance of donating Blood.
•  Later, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets, and students of the college donated blood with noble intention towards the society.
•  All together, 38 Volunteers donated Blood on the day.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON WORLD HABITAT DAY ON 1ST OCTOBER, 2018

To observe the World Habitat Day, Speaker Mr. Tikendrajit Gogoi, Department of Zoology, DHSK College, was invited by the NSS Unit of the College.

The programme was hosted by NSS P.O Ashwini Machey. Moreover, Principal, Dr. Dilip Kumar Bhuyan inaugurated the programme with a brief speech on the importance of the day. Faculty members of the College and NSS Volunteers and students participated the programme.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON “SURGICAL STRIKE DAY” ON 29TH SEPTEMBER 2018

NSS Unit of MDKG College observed the “Surgical Strike Day” on 29th September 2018.

• Invited speaker Col. J.J. Abraham, 63 Girls Assam Bn. NCC, Dibrugarh, Assam delivered his speech regarding the different consequences that took place on the day.
•  Moreover, the student volunteers also visited the 63 Girls Assam Bn. NCC, Dibrugarh, Assam.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON PLEDGE TAKING PROGRAMME FOR TOBACCO FREE YOUTH ON 28TH SEPTEMBER, 2018

Pledge taking programme for Tobacco Free Youth was observed on 28th Sept, 2018 within the College campus. NSS Volunteers and also Students of the College took active articipation in the programme.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON NSS DAY CELEBRATION ON 24TH SEPTEMBER, 2018

On 24th Sept, 2018, NSS Unit of the College observed the NSS Foundation Day. The day was well observed keeping in mind the aims and objectives of the NSS. A session was also held among the NSS Volunteers, where, NSS P.O Ashwini Machey encouraged and motivated them towards being responsive and show immediate action for the welfare of the society.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON NSS ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR THE NSS VOLUNTEERS ON 21ST SEPTEMBER, 2018

On 21st Sept, 2018, NSS unit of MDKG College organised the NSS Orientation Programme among the newly admitted NSS volunteers. The programme was inaugurated by the NSS P.O Ashwini Machey. To hold the session, Former NSS P.O‟s Dr. Lohit Saikia and Dipankar Sharma also graced the programme. Resource Person Keshaba Nanda Haloi, NSS P.O, DHSK Commerce College, Dibrugarh was invited for the session, who spoke and guided the volunteers the objectives of NSS and its importance towards social service and Nation Building.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON UNNATA BHARAT ABHIYAN ON 15TH AUGUST, 2018

•  Central Govt sponsored Unnata Bharat Abhiyan was carried across the country.
•  In this ambitious Abhiyan, MDKG College along with NSS Unit actively participated and conducted Socio-Economic survey and awareness programme in 3 Villages assigned by the District Administration, Dibrugarh District, Assam.

 ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF SWACHATA PAKHOWARA FROM 1ST TO 15TH AUGUST, 2018

Observation of Swachata Pakhowara from 1st to 15th August, 2018 was conducted by NSS unit and Health & Sanitization cell at the college campus,
adopted village: Nagakhelia Gaon and also at Kalyan Ashram, Dibrugarh. The programme was participated by the faculty members of the college,
NSS P.O, Villagers and also the members of the Ashram. The NSS Volunteers also whole heartedly involved themselves in the cleanliness programme.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY ON DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING YOGA ON 26TH JUNE, 2018

International Day on Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed on 26th June, 2018. The day was organized by the Student Support and Progression Cell in collaboration with the NSS Unit of MDKG College, Dibrugarh. On the day, the invited Speakers, delivered their awareness oriented speech and interacted with the students related to the pertinent topic.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA ON 21ST JUNE, 2018

International Day of Yoga on 21st June, 2018
• A workshop on Yoga was conducted in all the Universities having NSS, which was followed by demonstration and performance of series of Yog-Asanas.
• All the NSS Units also performed the Yoga Asanas in their campuses to mark the occasion.
• All the Special Camping programmes will have a component of performance of Yog-Asanas.
• As such, NSS Unit of MDKG College have also organized and observed the day.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF WORLD BLOOD DONAR DAY ON 13TH JUNE, 2018

Observation of World Blood Donars day on 13th June, 2018 was organized by the NSS Unit of MDKG College in collaboration with Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh. The programme was started with a motivational talk by the representative of AMCH. In the programme, the Principal i/c, Dr. Gayatri Devi Goswami also motivated the house regarding a noble cause of Blood donation.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVATION OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY ON JUNE 5TH 2018

Observation of World Environment Day 5th June 2018 was organized by NSS, NCC, Eco Friends‟ Club & Student Union of MDK Girls‟ College, Dibrugarh, Assam. Activities undertaken were: Plantation at two Govt. Schools of Dibrugarh town, Poster competition on the theme „Beat Plastic Pollution‟, inauguration of Wall magazine and Lecture on “Beat Plastic Pollution” was delivered by Invited Resource Person Dr. Diganta Sharma, Dibrugarh University, Assam.
