ACTIVITY REPORT ON PARTICIPATION OF NSS VOLUNTEER IN THE NATIONAL INTEGRATION CAMP (NIC) AT KALYANI UNIVERSITY, WEST BENGAL W.E.F. 29^TH NOV TO 05^TH DEC, 2023

• For the NSS National Integration Camp (NIC) held at Kalyani University, West Bengal w.e.f. 29^th Nov to 05^th Dec, 2023, 01 NSS Volunteer Miss. Aparna Dey of MDKG College, Dibrugarh (B.A 5^th Semester, Dept. of History) has been selected under Dibrugarh University NSS Cell to represent the Assam State Team at the NIC 2023. 
• NSS Team from different States has also participated in the NIC. The Assam Team also has actively participated in the NIC and brought laurels to the Assam State Team. The team has also volunteered in different activities that took place.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON THE CONSTITUTION DAY ON 26 NOVEMBER, 2023

•   On 26^th November, 2023, NSS unit of MDKG College has observed the Constitution Day at the College campus. A pledge taking ceremony was conducted among the NSS Volunteers and NCC Cadets.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON NATIONAL UNITY DAY ON 31^st OCTOBER 2023

• On 31^st  October, 2023, NSS unit of MDKG College has observed the National  Unity Day at the College campus. A pledge taking ceremony was conducted among the NSS Volunteers, College Students, Students Union, Faculties. Moreover, IQAC of MDKG College have also organized Quiz competition among the College students of both the streams i.e. Arts and Science, to observe the importance of the significant day.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON SWACHHTA HI SEVA CAMPAIGN 2023 15^TH SEPTEMBER TO 02^ND OCTOBER, 2023

With reference to the letter from Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Regional Directorate of NSS, Guwahati (F.No. 5/13/NSS-NER/2023-24/1808) dated 20-09-2023), the following activities were organized by NSS Unit of M.D.K. Girls’College Dibrugarh, Assam.

ACTIVITY NO: 1

• On 17^th September, 2023, NSS Unit of MDKG College has conducted a Cleanliness drive at the adopted Village of MDKG College (Nagakhelia Gaon, Dibrugarh)

• Total 13 NSS volunteers, 01 Coordinator of adopted Village, 01 Office Staff and Village people also participated in the Cleanliness drive.

ACTIVITY NO: 2

• On 24^th September, 2023, NSS Unit of MDKG College observed the NSS Foundation Day, 2023 at Pratyavartan Shelter Home, Khanikar, Dibrugarh.
• Moreover, to fulfill the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2023’, Cleanliness drive was also conducted at the Pratyavartan Shelter Home, Khanikar, Dibrugarh  Total 33 NSS volunteers, NSS P.O and 01 Office Staff participated in the Cleanliness drive.

ACTIVITY NO: 3

• On 1^st October, 2023, activities under SHS 2023 were:

1. 1. Swachhta Pledge taking ceremony.
   2. A Cleanliness Drive within the College campus and nearby area.
   3. In addition NSS unit also participated in the Mass Cleanliness drive organized by Dibrugarh Municipality Board, Dibrugarh, at DTP Dyke, Dibrugarh, Assam.

• Total 25 NSS volunteers, 01 NSS P.O and 01 Office Staff participated in the Swachhta Pledge taking ceremony and Cleanliness drive.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVANCE OF NSS FOUNDATION DAY, 2023

• NSS Unit of MDKG College has celebrated the NSS Foundation Day, 2023 on 24^th September, 2023 at College Campus and ‘Pratyavartan Shelter Home’ Activities of the day were:

1. 1. NSS Day Pledge taking ceremony at the College Campus.
   2. Cleanliness, Plantation and Donation (Groceries) at the Shelter Home.
   3. Breakfast Drive at the Shelter Home
   4. Interactive session at the Shelter Home.

• Total 33 NSS Volunteers, NSS P.O and 01 Office Staff has participated in the Programme. Moreover, around 20 Members of the Shelter home were present.
• The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Mitali Sonowal, NSS P.O, with a brief objective of the day and the purpose of the visit to the shelter home. The programme highlighted positive feedback from the members of the Shelter home. The interactive session was fruitful to which they shared their feelings, visit to their rooms, discussed about their daily routines, and thanked us for this humble act of social service undertaken by the NSS unit of MDKG College.
• Furthermore, a positive feedback was also seen among the NSS Volunteers, where they shared that such programmes makes them more focus and active towards rendering their social services and building helping attitude with positive mindset which will enable them to give their selfless social service and responsibility as well as individual development in any life endeavour.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON OBSERVANCE OF AMRIT BRIKSHA ANDOLAN AT ADOPTED VILLAGE (NAGAKHELIA GAON)

• On 17^th September, 2023, NSS Unit of MDKG College has organized a Plantation drive at the adopted Village of MDKG College (Nagakhelia Gaon) to fulfill the ‘Amrit Briksha Andolan’.
• Total 13 NSS volunteer and Co-ordinator of adopted Village Utpal Gogoi Sir have participated in the plantation drive.
• Moreover, Cleanliness drive has also been conducted in the Village area.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION, 2023

• On 14th August, 2023, NSS Unit of MDKG College, has organized Panch Pran Pledge taking ceremony and Veeron ka Vandan by lighting diyas fulfill the ‘Mera Maati Mera Desh’.
• Total 23 Volunteers took part on the day. Moreover, 58 NSS Volunteers have registered themselves in the MMMD portal.
• The Pledge encouraged the NSS Volunteers to ensure personal growth as well as national development, to be proud of the rich heritage of the country, and relentlessly strive to keep the unity and integrity of the country intact. It also enlighted the Volunteers to educate thyself on the duties as a good citizen and carry forward the sense of duty in conduct and actions. Moreover, lighting diyas to convey respect to the Veers of our Nation who sacrificed and contributed for the welfare of the Nation.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION, 2023

• International Yoga Day, 2023 was organized by NSS Unit of MDKG College, Dibrugarh on 21^st June, 2023. Resource Person Miss. Nizara Kachari, Asst. Prof, Dept. of Education, Shree Bharati College, Dibrugarh, and also  Yoga Demonstrator, was invited, and a Yoga session was conducted among the NSS Volunteers.
• Resource person has highlighted the importance of Yoga. Demonstrations of different Yoga Asana were also done.
• A total of 17 NSS Volunteers and 01 P.O participated in the Yoga session.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, 2023

• World Environment Day, 2023 was celebrated on 5^th June, 2023 organised by NSS Unit, NCC Unit & Eco Club of MDKG College, Dibrugarh. Plantation programme was organized at the adopted village, Nagakhelia gaon. Moreover, Saplings were also planted in the college campus. Participation of the Village people was also seen. Furthermore, the NSS volunteers have also planted saplings in their own residence
• No of saplings planted: 20 Nos at Nagakhelia Gaon, 01 at College campus, and 04 planted by NSS Volunteers at their own residence. Total 25 saplings have been planted.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON PARTICIPATION IN WORLD NO TOBACCO FREE DAY, 2023

• The Volunteers and NSS P.O, Dr. Mitali Sonowal of NSS Unit of MDKG College have participated in the World No Tobacco Day on 31^st May, 2023. To observe the day, a Walkathon was organized by the Pratishruti Cancer & Palliative Trust, Association of Oncologists of North East India, supported by NSS Cell of Dibrugarh University, District Tobacco Control Cell and a dozen of organisations. The Programme was inaugurated by Shri. Biswajit Pegu., D.C of Dibrugarh District.
• The programme mainly aimed towards leading a healthy life.

ACTIVITY REPORT ON SURVEY OF YOUTH NOT IN FORMAL EDUCATION AND REGULAR EMPLOYMENT

Date: 09^th April, 2023

• As per the notice from Regional Directorate, Guwahati to conduct a Survey of Youth not in Formal Education and regular employment.
• NSS unit of MDKG College, has surveyed 84 household in the Nagakhelia Gaon. 08 households have fulfilled the objective of the survey.

Activity Report on Participation in the Mega Event to Celebrate 75^th Day Countdown of International Day of Yoga organized by Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India

Venue: Dibrugarh University Playground Date: 7^th April, 2023

Time: 6:30 a.m. onwards

A total of 53 Volunteers of NSS Unit and NCC wing of MDKG College, Dibrugarh have participated in the Mega Event to Celebrate 75th Day Countdown of International Day of Yoga organized by Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India. The Program was held at Dibrugarh University Playground on 7^th April, 2023 from 6:30 a.m. onwards.

Activity report on 12 Days Training Program on Disaster Response for Community Volunteers „AAPDA MITRA‟ ORGANIZED BY DISTRICT DISASTER MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY, DIBRUGARH AT MDKG COLLEGE, DIBRUGARH, FROM 20^TH – 31^ST MARCH, 2023

• The inaugural session of 12 Days Training Program on Disaster Response for Community Volunteers „AAPDA MITRA‟ for NSS Girls‟ volunteers and interested students was started from 20^th to 31^st March, 2023 in MDKG College, Dibrugrah organized by District Disaster management Authority, Dibrugarh under the aegis of Assam Disaster Management Authority and National Disaster Management Authority (India). The session was graced by Shri Debashish Borah (SDO, SADAR, Dibrugarh), Shri Raju Chaliha (Dy. Controller i/c, Civil Defence, Dibrugarh), Shri Dibjyoti Hatikakoti (Project Officer of Disaster management, Dibrugarh), Anju Borah (Vice Principal, MDKG College)
• A total of 88 NSS and NCC Girls‟ Volunteers from MDKG College, Dibru College, DHSK College & DHSK Commerce College have joined the workshop.
• The workshop emphasized valuable theoretical and practical knowledge on disaster management, different counselling sessions, Fire management, Flood management, Leadership skills, Medical treatment
• Feedbacks of the participants were very positive. They mentioned the usefulness of the different sessions that they were Both theoretical and practical knowledge and experience were gained for the training.
